Rhinozuki Gets A New Engine Due to the gearing and tire size, Rhinozuki had a hard time doing much more than about 55 MPH unless it was going downhill with a good tail wind.
My summer project for 2009 turned out to be an engine swap and the addition of On Board Air and Power Steering. After Zukapalooza 2009 in Camp Verde, AZ I picked up a 1996 Geo Tracker for the engine and some other components.
The donor vehicle arrives in Tucson. Not a lot to it but all the components I needed were intact. One butt ugly vehicle but the engine is good and strong.
The donor vehicle from the rear. Still sitting on the trailer. The previous owner had chopped the body up pretty bad. It made the job easier for me,

my house. Rhinozuki can back off of this trailer without the ramps no problem. Just as the rear wheels of the Tracker started to drop off of the trailer I realized this may no be the best way to do the unload but it was too late to stop the rig.
hung up on the trailer. Jack in place and getting it off the trailer.
being pulled from the Tracker. The engine needed a real serious cleaning.
on the carport. Learning a lot as the project progresses.
did remove the exhaust system for use in the Samurai. It was cut off about 6" past the Catalytic Converter so I was able to use it.
